Rapido Review
Our Team has tried Rapido for 3 months with and without the Power Pass. We tried all, Autos, Bikes, and Cabs through Rapido at different locations. We booked rides worth over 4000 INR during this time!
Rapido has the most convenient interface to book a ride fast. Availability of rides is also the most on Rapido. Their maps are almost accurate. Chat support is quick and helpful, and provides satisfactory solutions almost all the time.
Pricing on Rapido:
Rapido has the most affordable rides in India. That is what they are known for!
Due to the zero commission model from captains, Rapido has managed to give the best deals on rides. In most cities, it is reasonably priced at roughly 6 rs/km up to 4 km, but this can vary.
However, the invariable increase in pricing around rush hour and afternoon time might be a little frustrating for travelers.
Power Pass:
Rapido Power Pass is a membership kind of service for rides. You get a certain number of discounted rides for a specified period. To be eligible for the power pass, you need to have some single booking rides beforehand.
In our opinion, this pass does not offer considerable benefits over single rides.
Safety for passengers:
To ensure safety and maintain traffic rules, commuters are provided with helmets on Bike Taxi. The live tracking system is available for all services during travel along with an SOS button for emergency help.
However, before scheduling the ride, double-check the license number on the phone with the bike. Sometimes riders use other vehicles which can turn out unsafe.
Ride Cancellation on Rapido:
Rapido has a cancellation policy so you can cancel anytime before the ride. If a user cancels a ride after a pilot arrives, they may be charged a cancellation fee to cover the pilot’s time and effort. Sometimes, riders may cancel rides at random without prior notice, resulting in a frustrating experience.
Payment method on Rapido:
Rapido accepts both in-app payments, UPI, and cash for the convenience of commuters. Although, they mostly prefer UPIs when cash is not readily available in order to avoid hassle or discrepancies. Remember to pay at the drop-off, and if the rider requests more money than what is shown on the app, make a complaint in the “Report an Issue” or “Help” area of the Rapido app.
Recommendations:
Other apps can be more expensive for a short ride. If you can stay cautious on the road, you can go for Rapido!
